Insuring your dredge

With the price of gold where it is today, what are people doing to protect their investment in their dredges? I know that with mine I leave it on the river most of the dredge season and that has cause for concern. A five inch dredge has to weigh in the 200 lb plus range and hauling it in and out to the truck each time is a killer. I plan to lock the motors to the dredge and then chain the whole unit to a tree, but I'm afraid even this will not deter some of the thiefs we have out there and here is the question....can a dredge be covered by your homeowners insurance or can a special rider be gotten to cover it? What do other people do? coldwater gold

I am so excited, we are going to the placer claim for a week the end of the month. My oldest son and his wife and daughter are going to stop by for a few days while on they're way to Los Angeles, Ca. to sing back up and perform with Guns and Roses.Anyway we will be at the claim from May 31st till June 9th, Highbanking away. If anyone is in the area please stop by. The claim is at the 23 mile marker on Cow Creek, about 1/2 mile from Rattlesnake Park and next to Skull Creek. The claim is called Geezer Gulch. If you look on any map you will see the old township of Langdon, it is right in the middle of our claim. There is still one building still "KINDA" standing.Anyway everyone please had a great and safe week.

Gold Nugget

The gold nugget came from one of my clients mine sites on BLM land in California. I have been told that on a lot of the old sites the gold was separated "by eye" and a lot was missed...I currently have a number of clients with anywhere between $2BB and $30BB in the ground seeking operational financing to get it out. If you know of anyone interested in providing debt and/or equity financing please get in touch.jeffrey.wiggins @ gmail.com

Monday,monday

Well,Here we go again.Bill, and I will be headed back out to the sticks Monday. At least Bill has snake shot, and brought back from Missouri some snake guards.I swore,I would not head back out without a back up blower motor for the dry washer. But,Sometimes you gotta say, what the heck, and go for it.I will try and post Monday night to bragg about how good we did.Or,I will post, looking for compassion on how poorly we did--LOL Either way,it will be good to get back to some serious digging.

The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from Alabama .. Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama ! The judge's poem sums it up quite well.America the beautiful,or so you used to be.Land of the Pilgrims' pride;I'm glad they'll never see.Babies piled in dumpsters,Abortion on demand,Oh, sweet land of liberty;your house is on the sand. Our children wander aimlesslypoisoned by cocainechoosing to indulge their lusts, when God has said abstainFrom sea to shining sea,our Nation turns awayFrom the teaching of God's loveand a need to always prayWe've kept God in ourtemples, how callous we have grown. When earth is but His footstool, and Heaven is His throne. We've voted in a governmentthat's rotting at the core,Appointing Godless Judges;who throw reason out the door,Too soft to place a killerin a well deserved tomb,But brave enough to kill a babybefore he leaves the womb. You think that God's notangry, that our land's a moral slum? How much longer will He waitbefore His judgment comes? How are we to face our God,from Whom we cannot hide? What then is left for us to do,but stem this evil tide?If we who are His children, will humbly turn and pray;Seek His holy faceand mend our evil way:Then God will hear from Heaven;and forgive us of our sins,He'll heal our sickly landand those who live within. But, America the Beautiful,If you don't - then you will see,A sad but Holy Godwithdraw His hand from Thee.~~Judge Roy Moore~~This says it all. May we all forward this message and offer our prayers for Judge Moore to be blessed and for America to wake up and realize what we need to do to keep OUR America the Beautiful.Pass this on and let's lift Judge Moore up in Prayer. He has stood firm and needs our support.IN GOD WE TRUST!

Gold from the patio

I spent the last two days catching up on some long overdue clean-up on my patio. I had numerous buckets of gravel, dirt, sluice cons and six sniffer bottles with various amounts of gold and black sands that I needed to classify down to at least 30 mesh for my blue bowl. After screening all of it through 1/2",1/4", a flour sifter and 30 mesh, I panned everything twice and ended up with 2/3 of a 5 gallon bucket ready for the blue bowl. The nice surprise was the amount of gold accumulated from my efforts. The pics also show a small bucket full of common opal and some chiastolites ( Crystals of Andalusite containing cross-shaped inclusions of carbon. Common in some metamorphic rocks. Found in England, Australia, Arizona and Ca.) that I got on a trip to Mariposa last Sunday.Rick
