Went back down to the Ouachita today.

Hey Everyone,Well I went back down to my quartz outcropping today. I dug out about a half of a bucket of material and took it home to work through. No I didn't find any big nuggets. :-(I did find some black sand and a coupla more pieces of lead shot. I am still thinking that I am seeing some fine gold but will have to wait to find out because I ran out of day light.Going to AGC on May 22nd and hope to see what real gold looks like in my pan!!

    Thanks Scott! I know Arkansas is not a gold producing state but I am just hoping there is some truth to a blind hog finding an acorn every now and then!!

    Well if you are keeping lead at the bottom of the pan,you are doing good. If there are nuggets there you will get them.Remember gold runs with quartz,but quartz does'nt always run with gold. Good luck this year, Scott
