FYI, Pink Floyd is playing on this site. If you use firefox, google firefox and pink floyd to find out what this refers to. (Big brother is listening)
Last weekend I was going through the items I'd placed into storage, we recently moved into a house that has a shop/storage area so I figured I could save myself the cost of the storage rental and move it all here, so I see this old garbage can that has a bag in it. I'm thinking oh, no, but was surprised with dirt from the Llano river that I'd forgotten about. My son helped me process it, we found a few specks of fine flour but as I tipped the rest of the dirt into the Gold Miner, my son yells, "More Rocks Daddy!" I told him we'd have to go to the river and get more. He ran into the house and a few minutes later he back outside fully dressed. With weather permitting we promised to take him a trip to the river. So yesterday, we loaded up the car and headed out, we ended up with about 5 buckets of Llano river dirt, most sucked up with my Gold N Sand hand dredge, the rest my son and wife got with shovels. We process about 3/4 of a bucket when we got back and this is what we got.

Last Saturday I ran in to Charles at Olney Creek. The water flow was too low to do my usual dig and sluice so spent some time with Charles popping bed rock and cleaning Crevasse'sThe Gold from under one chunk of bed rock
A
nd a final pan
These pictures are the gold that I found in about 2.5 pounds of sand in the place where we are hoping to mine. This was 5 pans with about a half pound of sand each. This is from a sand ridge left by the glaciers here in Michigan. The ridge runs for about a mile or so and seems to have good gold. As most of you know; Michigan was once a shallow sea. This is the sand from the bottom of that sea. The glaciers left it in drumlins and moraines all over the state. This just goes to show that you do not have to be in a stream or river to find the gold. I estimate about $25 a yard. Do not quote me on that though.lol Now we just have to get permission to mine it!!!
Well, the rain finally ended for a while. We made it to the stream and ran the sluice for a while. I have not cleaned it out yet, as it started raining yet again. We had to wait for the level of the streams to go down, but finally they did. I am unsure of whether or not we found any gold. The funny thing is; we went out mushrooming and decided to pan some dirt where we go. We found gold!!! (We have found gold in three places less than ten miles from home!) Not a lot mind you, but enough that it may be profitable to do it on a larger scale if we can get the permission of the land owner! Unfortunately, here in the lower part of Michigan, all of the gold has been put here by the glaciers of the last Ice Age. This means that we cannot even go across the section and be sure that there will be gold in the same ridge line that we found this on. I am hoping that we will be going either to the U.P. this summer, or somewhere where the gold is more likely to be found. I am not sure if we will make it out west again this year, but maybe. Meanwhile, we will keep searching here and hope for the Mother Lode !!!!!
So, the below link tells us they are running out of gold. You know, those people who bought gold certificates, (duh) and want their physical gold. Well as I said, they only bought a piece of paper. If you can't hold it, you don't own it. People are wanting to cash in their "gold certificates" but all they are getting now is more "Federal Reserve Notes". Suckers born every minutes.

I cannot stand all of the waiting!!! The weather here has just gotten worse. We have so much standing water, that at least 3 cities have declared states of emergency!!! It is supposed to stop for the weekend, but then start again on Tuesday. The rivers and streams are flooded so much that you cannot even get to the old stream beds to look there. I have fixed my sluice. I am even building another one that is longer, but narrower than the last one. The problem is that we cannot use them, as there is actually too much water!!! ARGH!!!! I hope that all of this rain ends soon and the streams go back down, so that I can find some more gold!!
So, what's up with the recent “crash” of gold and silver?
“Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain”.
The rapid “drop” of gold and silver prices is because people are DUMPING massive amounts of “paper gold” on the market. The physical gold and silver dealers can't keep up with the orders which is up 20 percent and they can barely keep up with orders. Manufacturers who are stamping out silver coins have already run out of silver, there is a real shortage!
Some are aware that the stock market is a farce and has been for a long time. It is now run by super computers “buying and selling” at thousands of exchanges per second. There are not many “real” people buying and selling, other than those people who use money “donated” to risk in peoples 401K accounts.
Gold “should” be at about $6,000 and Silver (which there is a massive shortage of) should be over $100+easy!
With the market sliding in the third wave and dip indicating a crash on the way, billionaire bankers are dumpling tons of paper gold stocks on the market and selling them short at a big discount. This act artificially lowers the market values of gold and silver, and just before the economic crash the price will be low enough where the billionaires can snap up tons at a cheap price.
Presto Chango, the market crashes (again), drops 60 or 70 percent of volume,(soon), then gold and silver go off the charts, and they then triple their billion dollar investments without any risk.
The media claims it was due to Cypress having to sell a few measly tons of gold, but when we are talking gold markets, Cypress's sell off is a drop in the bucket and would hardly drop the gold price on the market by a buck or two.
Germany and several other nations want THEIR gold to be repatriated from the Federal Reserve (A privately owned Class A stock corporation, and no more “Federal” then FedEx) But what happens if there IS no gold? NO one, not even the President of the US is allowed to go in to Fort Knox, and I would bet that the gold in Fort Knox was removed off shore as early as the Bankruptcy of the US back in 1933.
What's a Fed gonna do? How will they EVER get enough gold to repatriate nations who want to store their gold in THEIR vaults and not the FEDRES? Yeah, even Texas wants their gold back. They will crash the system before that happens. And it looks like the the game is on. They could create false flag ops and blame some other country such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Syria or any other country in the Middle East who is the enemy of “_____”. Steal their resources including gold reserves and mines, Oil, water, Heroin, etc.
Catch me at the end of 2013 and tell me I was wrong, or right.
We got to Our spot about 9:00 and started digging the Gold Fever Classifiers worked great for this Material.
Ran the Sluice for about 6 hours of Digging
Jane and Her Mom did the panning
The Clean up was great !
Fun Was Had By All !
ray left us sometime over the weekend on a journey to a far better place in the gold fields of heaven. ray will be missed alot ,i was going to go camping with ray this year in new hampshire where he just got the job as caretaker at covered bridge campgrounds . RIP RAY
Well, It has been raining and cold here since last Saturday. The streams are running much to high to pan or sluice. I hate the weather here! I realize that it is April, but still. Just when we find some gold, the weather turns against us. Now, even if it stops raining, we will have to wait for several days for the streams and creeks to go down far enough to get on them. I am trying to be patient, but it is difficult.
I live close to a big river not known for gold but had to get out last weekend to play in the dirt. While digging I came across a couple pieces about the size of a quarter that looked like pottery. I thought nothing of it until I got home. I started researching the towns history and found out that back in the 1980's there was a large excavation of an ancient Indian settlement along the river. Less than a mile from where I live. I learned that some of the artifacts recovered are up to 3500 years old. While going through countless pages of info, I came across a link to a local University. They have a museum that has a collection of native artifacts so I had to go check it out. Very impressive! Not just local relics. Artifacts from all over the world and from all points in history. Funny how prospecting got my wheels turning and led me to a museum.
As the post title says, I learned 2 important lessons this week......
1. Whether you're on state, federal or private land, a little homework beyond who the property owner is could reveal a historic signifigance which can be trouble for you if you dig there.
2. When digging in an area with history like this, spend an extra few seconds looking through your classifier. It would be real easy to throw out a valuable artifact.
I took a lot of pics at the museum and this is some of the artifacts recovered from my area.
This is a trade silver brooch that was popular in the 17-1800's...
I've learned a lot in the last week. All because of a couple small clay pieces in my pan......
Well, it is April now and it has just recently become warm enough to begin panning. We went to a small stream near where we live and BAM we found gold imediately.lol Just a few small flakes in the pan, but it was enough to get us excited and to take the sluice the next time we went. I have not yet cleaned out the sluice(we went today), but I will tomorrow.
So, I loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly, kidding.. I did meet up with an aquaintence of mine who happens to hold claim on 70 acres outside of Oatman, AZ called the White Chief, which in itself is a historical site. There is two piles of ore, one was from the 60's or 70's the other older one was from the 30's I'm told.
On to the impact mill. I wanted to design something that "I" myself would buy and use! I wanted something within a resonable price range and still have the "tough" Crazycrusher construction to it. I designed it with the features I felt would be desired... like "Height" so you don't have to stoop down to use it". Like size, 14" diameter with walls a lot thicker than cheap sheet metal. Something that "I" could handle by myself. I put wheels on the front legs, so if you lift on the other end, IT ROLLS AROUND! How cool is that? I wanted something that, in order to open it up for cleaning or maintenance, I would not have to pull out a bunch of bolts! I used a single hinge system on the 10 gage door with a single hook latch!
Most all of the impact mills on the market are "chain flail" types. That is, they have a couple of links of chains bolted on the center axis and they spin around. I got to thinking... I chain "bends". I don't care how fast it's going, if it meets resistence it flexes. Think of being struck with a belt. Yeah it hurts like hell and stings! But the belt flexes. Now think of being struck by a baseball bat. You don't feel the sting because your arm is totally broken. I made my hammers using forged steel! They don't flex when they strike the incoming rocks.
Another feature I implemented that others don't is that I have "breakers" inside. Some IM's are round (to me that is not the best feature). The Crazycrusher IM is octagon shaped with a 5/8" breaker welded in at each of the 8 corners, so that pieces that are struck by the hammers will ALSO strike in to the breakers, thus making a single pass more effective.
Now, on to the "Bad"... There was a vibration on the frame. The frame I made is of 1-1/2" angle iron as well as the legs. I realized that this may be too "flexible" and will have to go with another base design which I already have on the drawing table.
Problem #2 was that the coupler between the two shafts kept coming loose and moving (on the impact mill side) until they seperated far enough that the IM would stop and the motor kept running. Using a keyed shaft with a key and set key, no matter how tight I got them, the IM side would always come loose. I equate it to the vibrations and perhaps a slight misalignment, which should be remidied with the new frame.
On to the "Good"... The crusher (when the coupler didn't loosen up) ran great! The rocks fed in shattered and the output was so fine that I think the 4 inch space between the bottom of the exit pipe and the top of the bucket, well the wind carried it away like it was smoke! About 1/2 just blew away! A shop vac could be attached to create a virturally dust free operation.
The door seal held tight with no leaks however the seal that exented in to the mill was chewed up, and the seal part beween the door and the mill sides were intact however I think maybe a harder rubber would be better.
From the ore that I did run, about 1/3 passed through a 100 mesh screen, and 1/2 passed through a 40 mesh screen. The remainder was over 40 mesh, only because I did not let it run and run, but swept out the inside of the mill when I was finished.
All in all, I think I will be ordering the new materials and begin to make them over the next couple of weeks. It works well, just have to fix the little things. I would not sell anything that I personally would not buy or own or use myself.
With the Crazycrusher hand operated model, I've built and sold over 300 of them, and only ONE asked for their money back. I want the Impact mill to carry the same solid construction and satisfaction that the hand operated one offers!
Cheers and happy hunting!
I recieved a new set of The Gold Fever Classifier Buckets from Bradley James and was lucky the rain held off saturday and I got to give them a good test run at Olney Creek. Living in Northern California and prospecting for me its shovel and classifiers and I'm hard on Classifiers I go through at least one a year.
After 6 hours at the Creek using the 1/4 inch bucket Iwas quite pleased with how well it took my abuse and worked very well for me the only time I switched back to my old style classifier was when I hit a layer of clay then had to use the cheese grater method to push that matierial through.
Sunday I ran some cons from my carpet with the Barbie sluice I classified a full bucket in about a 3rd of the time it normaly takes me using the 1/8 inch bucket I was quite impressed.
Spending a Rainy Easter sunday running my cons made it a great day
Thanks for the Great Product James I was much Impressed with the quality and preformance and already seeing how much they will help. if you work a recirculator in dry areas like I do at times they will help conserve your presious water and still be able to fully classifie your material !

American Land Rights AssociationApproximately 600 million acres threatened by U.S./Canada Commission proposing massive expansion of jurisdiction over lands and waters in the northern United States and Canada.
Problem: Attempt by Obama Administration to use various wetlands and water jurisdiction tools to gain control over all lands and waters to achieve the goals they failed to win in the last Congress with the Clean Water Restoration Act by former Congressman James Oberstar (D-MN) and former Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI).
This was the bill that tried to remove the word “Navigable” from the Clean Water Act. The Obama Administration is still trying to bypass the word “Navigable” through its new EPA, Corps of Engineers “Wetlands Guidance Regulations” which Congress is trying to defund.
Through an International Watershed Initiative, the Obama Administration is working to expand the jurisdiction of a largely unknown International Joint Commission created by the 1909 Boundary Waters Treaty between the U.S. and Canada, which proposes to expand its jurisdiction beyond border waters to include entire international watersheds.
See map of full jurisdiction boundaries: www.landrights.org. It is right on the home page under International Joint Commission.
It is estimated that these watersheds include over 600 million acres of lands and waters and possibly a lot more. For example, the International Joint Commission during the Obama Administration has added a plan to expand their jurisdiction over the entire Interior Columbia Basin Ecosystem Area that you stopped the Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service from taking jurisdiction over in1996.
Just the Interior Columbia Basin Ecosystem Basin Plan area is 144 million acres including all of eastern Washington, eastern Oregon, all of Idaho, western Montana and smaller parts of California, Utah and Wyoming.
The International Joint Commission is proposing to expand its jurisdiction to include massive areas of all the border states and some other northern tier states from Washington to Maine using watershed and ecosystems management as their tools.
Their plan is to use Watershed Management to spread expanded jurisdiction across as much of the United States as possible.
The International Joint Commission is going far beyond anything in the original scope of the treaty.*
The three U.S. Commissioners are presidential appointees. The Chairman, Lana Pollack, was appointed by President Barack Obama in 2010. She is the former President of the Michigan Environmental Council, comprised of 70 environmental organizations.
Like 13 federal agencies, the Commission subscribes to an ecosystems management policy, adopted in 1993 by former Vice President Al Gore.
Ecosystems management, which is just a theory, has never been approved by Congress and has been discredited by ecologists since World War II. For background, read Alston Chase’s great book, In A Dark Wood.
The Commission has enormous influence with Federal regulatory agencies, including the Environmental Protection Agency, Corps of Engineers, National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and
Wildlife Service and U. S. Bureau of Land Management.
A pilot project has just been approved for northern Minnesota and northwest Ontario by both the US and Canadian governments through the U.S. State Department and the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs.
This pilot project is intended to be a model for governance and is likely to broaden regulatory powers and management by the U.S. Regulatory Agencies.
The intent of this pilot project is to create a government model that can be applied to the other international watersheds and will likely lead to the expansion of regulatory powers and jurisdiction by U.S. regulatory agencies.
Myth: “We’re here to give more power to the local people”
Reality: This is a plan to expand federal power over vast areas of rural America.
Additional pilot projects are being planned for other areas in the border and northern states and Canada. The program represents a new and imminent threat to private property rights, state’s rights, rural America, local communities, access and use of Federal lands, outdoor recreation, small business, mining, timber harvesting, energy production, and other interests.
For a Map of known IJC Areas: Go to www.landrights.org and look for International Joint Commission on Home Page. Further expansion appears likely.
IJC Bullet Points:
Here are some bullet points about the first pilot project of the IJC Minnesota/Canada pilot project for this massive initiative that the Commission intends to spread across the country:
Action Items:
Please join American Land Rights and many other groups in stopping the International Joint Commission from taking control of a huge area of the United States.
This threat is huge and must be taken seriously. Action must happen quickly. Your support will allow American Land Rights to send tens of thousands of letters, faxes and e-mails to your allies and friends to get them into action.
With the Endangered Species Act battle heating up over the Sage Grouse and the past war over the Spotted Owl, Ecosystem Management is as hot an issue today as ever.
Chuck Cushman is the Executive Director of the American Land Rights Association.
<mailto:ccushman@pacifier.com>P.S. It is impossible to overstate how important it is to quickly call both your Senators and your Congressman about the International Joint Commission.
