These pictures are the gold that I found in about 2.5 pounds of sand in the place where we are hoping to mine. This was 5 pans with about a half pound of sand each. This is from a sand ridge left by the glaciers here in Michigan. The ridge runs for about a mile or so and seems to have good gold. As most of you know; Michigan was once a shallow sea. This is the sand from the bottom of that sea. The glaciers left it in drumlins and moraines all over the state. This just goes to show that you do not have to be in a stream or river to find the gold. I estimate about $25 a yard. Do not quote me on that though.lol Now we just have to get permission to mine it!!!
