Hi all
and yes it is the time or we begin to return to the shop and or ideas and experiences of the season take forms materialize.
Here is the latest in the series.
This sluice will have as objective the working current low and the bucket in calm waters, but gold deposit areas.
For now the active part is over and will be tested this weekend on Placer with little slope.
the baby plug, 1 m long, 30cm wide, cheeks of 10 cm, integrated feet and carrying handle. the ability to change quickly riffle module to fit for slow current low and another 'normal'.
I went on a quarter round aluminium, used to finish tiles anodized. 3dimensions 12.5, 9, and 6 mm high.
all on a set of 4 mats (rubber fine streaks, small anti slip carpet tiles, a big other tiles, pvc mesh and expanded metal plate).
Here is the construction: plate alu 1.00mX0.5m folded in the corner sheet for my channel of 30cm X1.00m
the rest is from the cutting and scaling
cutting of the riffles
cutting mats
the puzzle
detail of the riffles: 1X12.5mm, 2X9mm, 2X6mm and 1X9mm
the mouth with the blocking of the carpet fine streaks
mounting of the riffles on the module
It passes the router to remove the shoulder of angles
Here is a ready to Assembly module
integration of the feet and the carrying handle
Visual of the 2 modules current normal left and current low right
modules are easily interchangeable with the butterfly nut
all is ready to go with the 2 modules in the sluice
Here is my latest creation
If anyone are interested do not hesitate to contact me.
Module work in a bucket is in the Court's development, requires a lot of testing to have good flow and control of the volume of water.

Hi all,
In my project, I had the construction of a sluice gold trapp, type Bazooka and here is the tool, the length of the table is 90 cm for a pinching of 36cm at the beginning to finish 24 cm des sides height is 16 cm in marine plywood.
The principle is to manage or change the pipes tubes of liquefaction in the box of concentration based on the strength of the current..., you can use it in the river or plugging a water supply, for the upper part, with a diffuser and the lower part a distributor for 3 pipes...
Here are the pictures
an overview:

It is during mounting, sticking to the polyurethane after a glue all fixed time, a mouth pore polyurethane, a nicely shape, finish sanding will be epoxy-resin with a canvas of glass mainly on the top
the establishment of the elements of the grid built into the upper platform and by mechanical stress on the bottom shelf.

WHAT A TREMENDOUS LOSS TO OUR MINING COMMUNITY!!! Jerry Hobbs, PLP REST IN PEACE!!!!
It is with great sadness that must let everyone know that Jerry Hobbs the
President of Public Lands for the People has passed away today in San Bernardino Ca. The small scale mining community has lost a relentless advocate for small scale mining and public land rights! I know from personal experience that Jerry spent every waking hour of the last 14 years that I have served with him fighting for the little guy. I have been blessed to have known this WARRIOR and the board will continue his work as best as he taught us! I am going to miss my friend and mentor. I love you Jerry Hobbs. we will meet again
merry Christmas to all
Finally home after 15 months on the Ice in Antarctica. I have spent a total of around 60 months at the South Pole Station with a few at McMurdo Station over the past 9 years with a stint in the Marshall Islands. Finally going to retire and get back into prospecting. I bought a used Jeep Rubicon and ready to go.
Anyone else getting out this weekend
ok so this review is for the 2 pounder. cost is $99 + shipping bringing it to $100. yes 1 cent shipping. shipping was fast and only took a couple days. was nicely packaged. cons came in a clear plastic container and vile inside. so after going through this bag "wow" a b unch of pickers fakes and flour. the total weight was a wopping 2.27g. so $100 for 2.27g i can say that i am thrilled at the results. i did better than if i spent twice as much money togo somewhere. i believe ipan4gold is king of gold. keep up the great work. (and of course i went back and doubled my order. review to follow)
ok so this review is on the 2# caibou claim. the cost was $89 +shipping which came to $101.60.the shipping on this took 2 wks. comes from canada and has to cross the border.not there doing. came nicely packaged and cons were sealed in a black bag. upon going through i found 3 nice pickers a few fakes and alot of flour. in the end total weight was 1.51g. so for $101=1.51g about half return and a very pleased. thank you dirthog
ok so this review is on the "mystery" cons. i had purchased 3 bags at $29 a bag plus shipping bringing the total to $98 .shipping was fast and only took a couple of days.it came nicely packaged each bag came in a black sealed bag. after going through each bag the results were as follows. bag 1 had alot of flour. bag 2 only had 1 speck and bag 3 had alot of flour. the total weight between all 3 bags came to .41g. (there were also nice pieces of amnethyst and citrine)so for $98 for .41g. im not gonna say im upset,it was challenging but i guess i expected more out of gold hog. but they were "mystery bags"
I live in south Arkansas and I started metal detecting two years ago. I've always been interested in the hobby but never had the time. I had an uncle that had several detectors and I would see some of his finds through the years. In Sept. 2012 I was diagnosed with stage 4 squamous cell throat cancer (I am now in remission) after my chemo and radiation treatments I needed a form of physical and mental therapy so I figured metal detecting would be a great way to get exercise and get my mind off of my health, etc. I found my first silver coin a Standing Liberty quarter and later a 1901 Barber dime and I was hooked. I have made some great friends that have been doing this for years and they gave me some good tips and tricks. I have recently got into gold panning but I haven't got to try my sluice box out yet because the cold weather got here before my sluice did, lol. I doubt if I have much luck finding gold in my area but I did find a couple of diamonds while panning this year and Arkansas is known for it's diamonds. Thanks for adding me to your group and I look forward to seeing some of your finds and learning new things.
hey everyone on the site join us in the chat room for lot of yaking fun
Thanks to those who extended the warm greetings to me as a new member of GPS. Looking forward to
interacting with like-minded gold enthusiasts!
This is from Dave McCracken who is one of the primary people fighting and funding the litigation for small miners over suction dredging in CA.
We need to give Dave credit for getting (in writing no less) the Siskyou County D.A. to openly state dredging is open now in that county. We plan to take this good news to the counties in the South Mother Lode immediately.
This is great news and just think if we can get the other Sheriff's on board, the economy of these counties will once again flourish with the influx of small miners supporting the small businesses ravaged by the moratorium........which has never been about fish.
From Dave McCracken:
We have just come into written correspondence from the District
Attorney of Siskiyou County which is rejecting to prosecute
suction dredgers without a permit as a result of the recent
Third Appellate published Decision. This should go a long way
towards prompting California to establish a reasonable set of
regulations and permitting system in time for our 2015 season.
Watch for more on this in our November newsletter.
I'm from Kelowna in B.C. Canada and looking forward to a good relationship with fellow treasure hunters within this group
Don't know if this has been published here or not, but we all need to contact our congressmen about this. If passed, mining, as we know it is dead!

Experts, I have been told by many of the old-timers my way that during the lead mining here they found gold and silver as well. We now have these massive "CHAT" piles all over and wonder if anything thinks there might be a chance there could be some in those piles. I can try and take pictures of one of the areas but very interested if worth pursuing
