Now enough of the bashing other forums if you don't like them don't visit them.I do enjoy this site and I tab between sites.I mainly stay here because not so much trash. Thanks to Tim for keeping it clean,also thanks to Cecil for the PM with invite.I have met many great people here.Thanks to all for making me feel welcome.got to get back to lurkin

I'm surprised at all of you! Slamming another site which is actully bringing attention to them.
Some actor stated years ago, "any coverage is good, as long as you are on the public's mind", or something to that effect.
And really, after all, what does this all have to do with prospecting?
It's just a session of slingin' mud and catchin' flowers.

I have to disagree.
By knowing what's wrong with the other site, it helps us avoid the same problems.
I have probably been on hundreds of forums since I discovered the internet, and the GPAA site has to be the worst. Name calling, flaming, bad mouthing, threats of violence, the list goes on, and only once did I see anything that might be the action of a moderator - one little sticky thread by it's self that basically said " Remember we are a family forum, remember to keep your posts as such ".
If this thread keeps even one person from having to go through all of that, then this thread will have served well.
I totally agree on this point. The other is full of hate and they edit your post if you say anything bad about the GPAA or LDMA.
I gotta agree with ya Greg!! Especially on the fundraiser for MinerMike...that turned into a real slugfest!! It was over there that I got a PM from Cecil telling me to come over here and check it out...Thanks Cecil !!
Cant PM ya Hazey without being friends first on here. What questions you have. Several on here are GPAA members and if you post the questions up on here I will try to help. If I cant I bet someone who knows the answers will jump in
I encourage everyone to look past the short comings, as everyone has them, and focus on the good that can be found on all forums. While there may be a grouch or two at the GPAA forums, there is also a lot of good info. Best not to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Do whatever you want, but I visit both forums.
you are correct KG and thanks for the comment ..you are correct there is alot of good on alot of forums and I believe most of our members are users on those forums I myself check out other forums and I always find something good in them all ..take care Tim
AFAIC Tim is cool peaches. I was a dues paying member of GPAA back in the days of Tom John and Buzzard. Both good men. After Buzzard died, GPAA went down the toilet. And THEN I met a couple of state directors. After meeting them, I said "I'm outta here!" I was paying to access claims, not to be interrogated as if I was in G-Bay Cuba. And some of the stuff I was asked is borderline on criminal.
Buzzard was a much better man than that. Tom as well.
Howard must be nice to have a job ya can goof off all day on a great web site
