  • I would think more like a 15 foot hose and a power nozzle being smaller I would think you want more power at the nozzle  JMO

  • I guess what I am asking is would this honda wx10 pump work with a powerjet or suction nozzel better? Or is this pump even able to supply enough water? Would it work on a 20 hose to the nozzel? I have tried looking this dahlke dredge up but am having no luck finding any information or pictures

I did a little trading this weekend at our local club meeting. I wound up with this little beauty. It is a honda WX10. I was very impressed with how well a motor and pump just like this one worked on our 6 foot trommel. So much so I jumped on this brand new never had the oil added pump and motor . Traded for my 1 year old 3 tray gold cube. So my friends...... will it work on the dahlke drege? What else will I need? I have never been around a dredge. Any helpful hints will be greatly appreciated. I think this little bugger will work well in a creek I work that is only about 3 or 4 feet wide and not very deep. Thank you

    • looks to me like you are ready to hit the water now and find some gold....  good luck cant wait to see how well it does

  •  Before you consider what size engine to use I would put it in the water and keep adding weight on top where the engine mounts until you get an idea of the ideal engine weight, from looking at the picture it doesn't look big enough to float a very big engine!!

I'm think from the size of the flotation it would be best to use an engine similar to what Keene.Proline uses for the 2" to 2 1/2" dredges, which is the Honda CX50 for a 2" or the Honda CX120 for a 2 1/2", I thinking the CX50 IMHO.

  • What size is the intake.. looks like about 2 1/2"    basicly 1 h.p per inch works good up to 4"  I would do a Y pipe2960239882?profile=original Y pipe and power nozzel

  • maurice the motor n pump will depend on weither you use a sudtion nozel or a power jet  my opinion is yoi should go with a driggs motor and a pacer pump for a 2 1/2 inch hose eather way motor should be at least a 6.5 hp for the best resaultsi use a 5.5 driggs with a pacer pump for my banmer dredg with no probs for good suction jim han a member on the site ask me awile bach i recomended the briggs with a pacer pimp try messageing him or tim grimes and ask them what they thinck the unit jim is useing puts out a 196 gal per min with if i remember right right at 50 to 60 pounds presure which is more then enough to run what you have hope this info helps you out

  • I sprayed the rusted bolts last night with some PB hoping that they break loose. But I bet they dont. So I might have to pull the ol tap and die set out and do some work. But I am not real sure what type of pump I should put on it. The inlet is about 2 1/2 hose so I guess it will handle some water flow. Any suggestions on what or how would be greatly considered

  • I would have jumped on that deal too !

  • maurice it looks like an older dalkie
