  • Don Smith,

I think that the MD 20 is the most sensitive probe for gold and small items in the world. They are running them at 300 kHz and no other company that I know of is doing that. I have alot of 100 mesh gold in a vial and it will pick it up. It will bang out gold at 50 mesh with no problem. It also has a different noise when you go over the black sands. Let me know if you need one I can get you a deal on one. Below is a link to the web site for them.
    Thanks,
    Tim

You can also find the MD20 at some of the prospecting equipment websites/stores.

I just want to clarify that although the probe and the cord is waterproof, but the control box is not so don't get the control box wet !!

    • Thanks Skip!
Just want a small detector to scan the larger classified material that's screened from going through the sluice.

  • Who sells them?
I did an online seach and came up with nuthin'.
  • I bought this probe and it is awsome. It is incredibly sensitive and picks up te smallest gold. Its waterproof too. The only drawback is you need to be careful not to move the knobs. It also picks up other metals like silver, copper and platinum. I think its a great invesment
  • I don't own one YET, but I have seen one used many times and used it myself for a couple of hours. It will find very small gold. When it was being used, it was used on quartz from a vein dug up and washed and then inspected with the Falcon. Worked well in that setting.
