Sucker Tube Nozzle

I building a sucker tube like the gold n sands . It has a 2" barrel and I was wondering if a 1/2" nozzle is too small? I was thinking it would be good for classification but would it wear me out pumping it. I would like it to classify down to a 1/4" for this Ohio flour.

  • Goin' to a 1/4" tip on a 2" barrel will, in theory, increase your suction but you'll have to work harder.
I put a nail through the tip, about 1/4" back from the end, making two 1/4" halves. You get two, 1/4" nozzles from the 1/2" nozzle. Doesn't clog, near as often. You could go to 1" and place two nails to make an "x". It would have good suction, depending on how far, and not wear your arm out. As a rule, I don't make a nozzle longer than my forearm.
