Has anyone on here had any experience with one of these or similar? I have maybe 2/3 of a 5 gallon bucket of black sands and mixed micro gold. I am wondering if this would help extract the gold fairly easy? I know there is gold attached to the black sands. Thank you

I like the size options of the crucibles. If I understand correctly the microwave can only do a couple oz at a time. Thank you folks for all the feedback. Dang filter here at work is blocking the pictures on Gold Rush Trading Post web site. I will have to wait until I get home to view it. I tried searching youtube for a video using this furnace but nothing. Maybe if I pick one up I will have to do a video review of it
I also just talked to the manufacturer of this and he says they now have a special flux for helping with the black sand process
I have not personally used a gold furnace nor the microwave gold kiln, but we sell a LOT of both. Have never had any complaints about quality on either. A furnace is faster than using a microwave. To read more about each type of smelting check out http://www.goldrushtradingpost.com/gold_smelting
http://www.actionmining.com/bak.html this is what we have and use if you can keep it from not haveing to replace a lot of parts so far we have replaced the heat elements 3 times and the thernosat control twice so i am very learey of these little units why i stated that i would like to see a few vids on it and see some feed back also
I am thinking this would be great fun during winter melting down black sands.
I no it heats up to 2200 degrees in 8 minutes ..I sent larry a message maybe he can let us know more about it
in my opinion it should work the same as a micro wave kilin but like anything else i think its going to take a little trial and error to learn how to work it also it depends on how hard it is to get replacement parts for it i for 1 would like to see some videos on it if you have black sand with gold stuck to it i think you would need to roast the gold and black sand then crush or tumbel to help free up the gold stuck to the sand this will let the small free gold melt a little quicker
I will ask larry for more info on them and see what I can find out
I seen this listed in our Daily Deals and it caught my eye
great discussion maurice ..I was wondering that myself
