Does anyone know of any placer claims for sale in Southern California. The kind that you can live on while you work the claim. Would like to find one that I could afford on my own but would be willing to go partners, especially if they knew more about filing a claim and maintaining it than I do. Would like it to be within 50 miles of LA. but within 100 Miles would be acceptable. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

one last idea ...does you church have a youth group? ages like 10 to 14 or so. talk to them about prospecting outing i'm sure someone around L.A. area would have a claim for lease . you could do a little mining and maybe change peoples mines on mining to a positive and bring a new generation into mining. and be doing Gods work too.
Thanks for the suggestion dennis, but the ministry of which I am a member of the congregation exists for one reason only. To teach and spread GOD's word and knowledge of HIM and Jesus Christ. No other reason. No man contrived social activities what so ever. Only GOD's word. If someone wants social activities in the church, they need to find a church that's man centered instead of GOD centered. Thanks anyway but I can't try to impose man's activities into GOD's realm. It doesn't work that way. Thanks for trying.
I didn't keep up with too many posts - we spent almost 7 months out prospecting etc., but, if you are still looking around for a "home", try something a little different. Go to the mines around the area you are interested in - and talk to the mine owners - someone may let you park your camper, do some panning etc., in return for keeping claim-jumpers off claim. I know at least 3 people who are doing that same thing right now. It costs almost nothing to the mine owner (a little paydirt), and costs you nothing.

my i suggest something have you thought of going out on your own and preaching the word of god? you may be able to get your claim and do gods work also. did not mean for this to offend I also am a person of faith and this may be what god has in mind

I believe GOD is using me right now for what I'm capable of doing and so far, that's passing on some of what I've learned and trying to get people to listen to my pastor to get the same teaching that I receive. As long as I've been hearing HIS word taught, I'm still not qualified to teach HIS word or HE would have already put me in a situation to do so. Thanks but, I have trouble getting people to listen to anything I say mainly because I have trouble expressing myself in a way that is underatandable to them. I express myself way better through my fingers typing that I can do trying to speak. Thank you but I still have way to much to learn about HIS ways first. Thanks again.
Harry I must ask, why are you so set on staying around that s**t hole L.A.? Dennis has spent almost this whole day & given you some good leads, especially the one up in Gods country Jillsonville. You'd be on patented claims, be able to park your camper with no hassles & be surrounded by knowledgeable miners. Time to cut the cord & make the move. I've read through this thread & the one on GPAA & your criteria are starting to sound a bit unrealistic. I may be wrong but I sensed a bit of sarcasm & frustration on Dennis's part with his post on the drainage ditches. I know it's scary sometimes to take on a new adventure but you gotta suck it up & just do it if that's what you want.

Reasonable question. Honest answer. The congregation I belong to is in Glendale. I have been trying to find a way to get back there for a very long time and now that I'm this close, I'm not going to turn around and go a few hundred miles in another direction. Granted, the pickens and knowledgeable help for prospecting may be there but it's more important that I get within a distance where I can attend services every Sunday. Even if that means that I have to give up the idea of prospecting and being able to put gold into my Lord's house as a result of it. That's the reason I started prospecting to begin with. If it's not to be, so be it. But I still believe GOD will make a way. I'm sorry if any of this offends any of you but that is where I'm headed and after getting this close, I'm not going in another direction unless my Pastor get's aggravated enough at the unfaithfulness of the LA crowd and moves the church somewhere else. Then I'll go somewhere else. Wherever that is. I hope all of you can understand. If you can't, I'm sorry, that's the way it is. I appreciate everyone's input and advise. All have a lot more knowledge than I do and I'm not denying the value of it. I just have to do things the way I think I need too. Thank you again for your input.
Hi Harry, That's cool. I understand now your commitment to your congregation. I had got the impression that you were just on a "walkabout" in your camper looking for a place to prospect & mine in peace & ended up around LA. I'm sure if you're persistent things will work out. I've been a member of this congregation for over 20 yrs. And the way it happened, it wasn't by accident. I didn't find it, I was led to it. And, as I said, the way it happened, it had to be GOD's hand doing the leading. This is where I'm supposed to be because this is where I know I hear GOD's word taught according to scriptures not according to a denominational doctrine. Thanks again.

TOM MASSIE on gold fever show has your claim he was in L.A. he was working the flood water drainage ditches those concrete over flow things he found gold in the cracks saw it with my own eyes. heck you could dress like a homeless person and stay untill the flood waters came.
