Old topo maps?

I'm looking for a place to get my hands on old topo maps. I need to research Plumas and Sierra counties of Calif. Anything from the early 70's on back would be a big help. If any of y'all know where I can pick some up, I'd sure appreciate the info. Thanks!

  • check with your usda soils officethey mite have them and they allso have maps of soil types and that helps me out alot on finding gold atleast it give you a good starting point.

      I've searched the net pretty extensively with no results for archived maps.

    • Thanks Mike, but I'm tryin' to find archived maps from the 40's to 70's. I'm checking with city, county, state, and feds trying to find any archived maps. So far, no luck.
      Hmmm, just had a thought, maybe I'll check with some surveyors. They may have some archived maps.
