I'm building a dredge sluice.I'm having 3 sets of riffles made for a 8 foot X 16 inch wide sluice. My pump is the keene P350 with 450 gpm with a 4 inch hose and nozzle. My riffles size is
3/8 inchs high X 15 1/4 inchs wide X 24 inchs long X 1 1/2 inchs space between them
3/4 inchs high X 15 1/4 inchs wide X 24 inchs long X 1 1/2 inchs space between them
1 1/4 inchs high X X 15 1/4 inchs wide X 36 inchs long X 4 1/2 inchs space between them
I was thinking put the 3/8 a the top and then 3/4 with aspace of 1 foot then 1 1/4 riffle at the bottom.
My question is do I need riffles on top to make a duel layer riffles or just punch plates to slow the water flow down and retain more fine gold. Thanks for any help.
