Loss of our public lands

Wake up America, our freedoms are dieing a slow death.

This and other "policies" being snuck through, past the volintarily blind populace, define the agenda of the governing powers. Sorry to say, those most directly and immediatly affected are a minority whose voice falls upon the def ears of the majority.
The city dwelling "Yuppie" doesn't give a squat about these issues since they can not perceive the effect that will eventually also impact them. They won't realize the effect until their mountain bike is declared illegal for use outside the city park.
Our freedoms are dieing a slow death like the poisoning of a body, going undetected by the majority until the moment of fatality.
God help us!

  • Yes  they voted to sell off land to  federal lands and BLM lands to private owners  better look this one up,  this is REAL.

expect no where you can go then

  •  watch they just passed a bill sa 838 for states to take all federal lands and sell them to private interest

    • There are a few spots I'd sure like to have, and I doubt that anybody other than I knows that they exist.

....or,  just let me patent my claims, as prescribed by law, denied by "processing funding cuts".

  • Another point that I have issue with,....
This bill is pointed at the hardrock miners (I know some small operation hard rockers who aren't real happy with this.) and other resource developers, so, just because it doesn't seem to affect the small time placer miner it's not important. Think again, it's just one more bite out of the cake, an infringment on the established laws of the land since the late 1800's. We should back our brothers in all aspects of national resource harvesting and developement.
After all, wouldn't we like to have the hard rockers and other resource developers backing us?

...and, I'm against ANY forgien intrusion into any aspects of my American life.

    • Oh don't ever think once any 'form' of tax is passed on the edge of a much larger base, that it wont spread like moss in washington and touch every singe part. How many taxes have ever been repealed?  And then the evil twin licensing pops up out of nowhere for a double tax.  They can call it what ever they want but when they take a portion of anything it is spelled T-A-X.  Because it sounds better than theft. They are not opening new lands or making improvements on present ones. The environment stays in a steady decline except for the lead and mercury that is being removed. That means they don't understand how to manage those lands. They don't listen to the people that have experience for guidance. That means you have something that is explained in 3 words. Taxation without representation.

  • Now that the military can hold U.S. Citizens indefinately without trial, the day they say would never come is already here.
    • ...but it's all for our own good. Right?
Sure makes me feel safer knowing I don't have to wait for the "due process" wheel to make it's slow turn to protect me from the "undesireables".

      In a pigs eye!

Not on the mining issue, but it's all related in the big picture.

  • There are numorous "fee" implimentations and increases included in this bill.

Maybe just my conspiritory mind at work here, but I read several points of public right infringments.

"Government speak" seems to be so harmless in it's presentation, but I have got to read between the lines.

It's all about control. Control of the lands, waters, wildlife, and general resources....and let's not forget the people,

yes, you and I.  "They" are intruding into our personal lives more and more.

I can see where forgien gov'ts could have the oportunity to nudge out any American competition for the harvesting of our natural resources. Read deeply, and really ponder the posible implications in the wording of this bill.

I just don't trust 'em, never have, never will.

    JMHO here,...

  • Ok did anyone read all 20 pages of the notice? There is a clear focus as to hardrock mining leases, not placers. Changes are for coal, oil and natural gas.  If you have an existing hard rock claim you may keep it as is. after they change then you have to pay 5% of your gross revenue from the refinery. The money gets split between the state and fed. the fed money goes back to reclaiming  the hardrock messes that were left behind and properly sealing abandoned mines. They arent taking away anything. They are TAXING new hardrock mines. The fact is China or anyone can come here and claim right now and start up a mine. Any new mines going forward are set up like a claim and also a lease agreement and pay 5%.  Existing claims dont have to convert to lease agreement. No one is selling off public lands.
