Hi everyone, thanks for reading here and even more for replying here....I have a SYM south yuba mining sluice box that is 60 x 12 and i want to make it into a high banker. Since i am only 1 1/2 years into the prospecting world i though i shake some minds of greater knowledge. Where we go is flake gold and running 100 gallons of material by hand one scoop at a time is not the right approach so i want to ramp up the production since i have 2 - 4 people with me at any given time.
I searched online and seen a couple things but the issue is i see is i got a 12 wide box not a standard 10 inch like most keene sluices..
Ideas? this is similar to my sluice...... i added ribben v matting under the blue but may go to miners carpet instead....

you maybe able to modify an old Stainless steel sink use a grinder with a diamond blade
I am Using an Old Bar sink that was thrown away at a job site.
upside is that it will not rust and IS very Durable
down side you have to modify it and sand (file) edges for burrs
OK So I broke down and bought a blank sluice, high-banker hopper and nice aluminum spray bars. Now i need to get the pump and hose kit for it.. sigh next month. I did get the stuff from South Yuba Mining and will post pics later on. So just waiting on UPS to get all the goodies here then we can go from there.... :) Thank you for all the great input thus far on this venture.
i thought about some kind of bigger one but then maybe a back pressure problem? even thought about exiting exhaust into the water but then i think it be an environmental issue. i did read most exhausts are designed to cover the engine noise. I don'tknow but i want to definitely get one set up in the next month after tuning this new variety of gold hog mats i got.
Would you run a high banker with the nice gold hog mats or just ripples expanded metal and miners moss?
you can make one fairly cheap with those plastic containers you can get at Walmart you need to go to home depot for the other parts and modify the box so the materials drop from the hopp and you would have to modify and bolt down cuzz your hopper might hop when ya feeder I recently was setting up a hobo high banker before I was foreclosed on and abandoned the set up no room in the van but I got all the way to the sluice worked sufficient yusing one of those containers modified and rigged to set on my grandmothers walker she left me cheap enough to through to gether again going to fabricate a stop box end to fit over the end of my sluice instead of fabricating a home made I was interested in my own chosen width but I think I would be loosing 200 years of advanced logic on the device if that helped great OutLaw OUt! you will eather have to build one or have 1 coustom built you can aloso order 1 from keene or proline and make them fit your box

i did not find it till the other day. i think i will just get it with the spray bars. Do you think i should run the expanded metal and metal ripples with it or go with the gold hogs different mats (scrubber, vortex, etc)
