In response to the many emails I have received in regards to the devastating bill signed by
Governor Schwarzenegger (SB 670) halting the use of suction dredging, there seems to be some concern that the Gold-N-Sand hand dredge falls into the same category. I can assure you that it does not and the bill specifically states that:
(SECTION 1, 5653.1. paragraph d) "This section does not prohibit or restrict nonmotorized recreational mining activities, including panning for gold".

Even though the Gold-N-Sand hand dredge is not a part of this bill, I am a prospector and and proud if it and believe this bill to be a violation of our rights. SB 670 is a slap in the face to this whole country and we all need to take a stand.
I dusted off my old Warren Zevon album and am donating 10% of my gross sales from ebay starting Sept 4, 2009 to the PLP and sincerely hope and pray that there are enough of us (and money) to turn this around.
