Hello. I would like to know how much to feed a high banker hopper. My hopper is 10" x 14" with 1/2" grizzly bars, and a 2" spray bar. My box is a Keene A52 with miners moss & deep V matting. I have been getting mixed messages on how to feed it. Some shovel right into it and others use a hand trowel and feed it slow. What is the "Correct" way of feeding a hopper? Also, do I need to classify the material at all before feeding?
Thank you

Adam, I assume you have the keene dredge riffles for your highbanker.
My machine is much smaller than yours and I use a shovel to feed with. As you load the material in, don't just throw it in, use the shovel to allow the material to feed in at an even rate. Otherwise you will overload (boom) the machine and a good portion of material will rapidly be flushed out of the machine without being "processed"
Feed it fast enough to move some material, but slow enough that you aren't overloading the riffles. Hint: keep an eye on the riffles before adding another shovel full!
adam i use a 10 x40 inch banker and 3 to 4 9r us can shovel into it there are a lot of vairables as to how fast you can feed a banker miners moss is the last thing i would put in a box like i said befor what you use is a matter of preffence if yoir mn is loading up get something that dont from your pics of your banker it lacks something
if your material is dropping streight into the box you need to put a slider plate in under the griz and divert the material to the rear of the box when it drops onto the pinch plate
