I watched a show last night on the melting rate of the glaciers in Glacier National Park. They are saying at the rate of melt today, the glaciers will be melted by 2030!! I would recommend to those who have never seen the park to find time to see these glaciers before there aren't any to enjoy! This park bosts gorgious glaciers, lakes, and mountains chisseled by glacier movement! The tree hugger blamed it on global warming!! Saying we are responsible for the melting of the ice! What are your comments on this??

Ok i have a new program for you It is called adopt a ice cube for $3.00 and shiping i will plant and raise a ice cube for you from spring water and send you pics from birth to maturity and then mail it to you .
you will have your owen melted iceburg by the time it arrives. or you can go see the reail thing.
see all you can while you can.
You know there alot of things to point our fingers at, thats what we do! But in all topics, we are not the problem in the big picture. This so called God that so many people have trusted in and fallow the book, really isn't what I believe is in control. If there was such an all mighty that cares so much about us and all that jazz, then where was he when Bill lost his house? Bill was a firm believer and always at church on sundays! If there is an all mighty god then why do we suffer so much? A god in control would try to prevent things from going wrong. OR if he were the one to fallow why doesn't he give us hints of hope that he exists?
Any how the earth and the universe has its own ajenda that we are all stuck right in the middle. If there were to be an ice age then so be it..... But in history, it got hot before it got cold. Take it as you will. Just thought some of you would like to see some monster popcicles before they were all melted.
well, there are a lot of cars and cows farting on mars, and the other 8 planets out there because they are all experiencing the same warming issues we are. Check Nassa, or whatever other places to see. The planets with ice have had a melting going on also. IT IS ALL because of a THING our sun is going through. Not farting grannies, or old granny gas guzzling cars puffing out C02. I doubt it is the russian peat bogs which are melting in syberia, those are gonna put out some serious methane and co2. Yes, we make a lot of stuff in the air, but consider how much the dianosaurs put out? Can you imagine the methane from a T rex fart? or how about all the mountains of poo they made? serious co2. Is that what killed them off? No. Yet if you consider all the prehistoric creatures, verses cars, I doubt we are on any kind of co2 scale with them.
I think the billion or so engines we have running worldwide could out-fart the dinosaurs. Then there's our electricity generation--might as well throw that on too; if it's not a larger contributor than the internal combustion engine, it will be soon. Not likely that all the other planets are experiencing exactly the same warming issues we are, as we're the only one with an atmosphere to keep the heat that's generated inside, or the insolation outside. Way too many variables to use qualifiers like "It is all because of..." and "...thing our sun is going through." I restate my point from before: Respect. Disrespect for the natural order of things causes many of our problems. The sun can't be controlled, but let's not be so quick to assume that it's the only variable in this equation.
global warming has been proven false. if you talk to a geologist they will tell you that we are in a 150 year cycle.
but you right they are melting and everyone who hasn't seen them should in fact i will motivate you to go. out side the nation park there are some awsome places to prospect.
thanks again shawn
I watched a show that was about a town that was having to be moved because the glacier by it was growing and going to cut it off from the sea because of the geography of the land. They also mentioned other glaciers around the world that are growing. You don't see any reports of this because it disputes the claims of global warming and would play against their fear mongering.
I agree that now would be a good time to see the glaciers. As far as humankind being "at fault" for their melting, maybe, maybe not. Climate change is undeniable. Is it human-caused? Quite possibly. But that shouldn't matter. What should matter is that we show respect. The relative status quo of the biosphere IS in peril. The money we use to justify misguided environmental policy with promises of jobs and economic shots in the arm is very temporary. The payback will not likely be entirely so. We HAVE NOT, as yet, found life on other planets. Let's assume for a minute that there is a higher intelligence that created this little blue marble. If I build an nice house for my kids and feed them well, then come home from work and find the carpet burned, the drapes on fire, holes punched in the floor, pipes broken, etc., I'm going to feel disrespected. Would a creator of worlds who by some accounts fashioned humankind after itself appreciate coming home to a burning planet?
who is it that makes the determination on what the " tempature" of the eath should be? Al Gore ? Self-serving suedo scientists who rely upon gov. grants to conduct their" studies" . There have been many periods when the earth was much warmer than it is now. It is all very natural, reoccuring and unprevenable.
