We have a lot of cons. Almost 5 gallons. I've run a bunch of them through the pan and now the blue bowl and there really isn't anything in them. We've only been able to hit the creeks and rivers around us so I know most of it is flour which is so hard to get. I'm thinking we need a miller table but I'm wanting to do it on the cheap. Anyone have some suggestions on where I could look for homemade ones? We'll be hitting some better areas next week after the rains pass.

We are. We just can't go to far because we have kids. Thinking about going to Quartzville Creek next week after the rain is done this weekend. It's about 2 1/2 hrs from us.

Listen to what the experts have say, especially Ken AKA Bigfoot Mountain Man, and Ed Marvin. I'm no expert, but there opinions are the ones that really matter and will be the most helpful. Every prospector has experienced your frustrations. You're not alone.

Here is a video series Red and I did about how you can give yourself the best advantage when trying to recover gold the size of glitter from a unicorn fart. Did you classify your cons before panning them? That will make a big difference. I would work on honing your panning skills. It takes patience, but you will become a much better prospector if you learn to pan well. Hope that helps. I go after flour gold too, and I can get the gold by just panning. Be patient and keep practicing. Only pan your cons a teaspoon at a time, and if the gold is there, and you're panning correctly, you will see it.
I've classified and panned them way way down. I have an issue with my wrist from an accident so doing it for to long causes pain. Maybe I'm just not panning them down far enough. I'll try doing little bits at a time with breaks in between.
