25 or 30 yrs ago I bought a backpack sluice.  It was made by a guy that I can't seem to recall his name or contact info.  I have searched thru mash and ads and don't see a similar sluice.

The unit was thick plastic that rolled up and weighed about a half pound.  Gold getting riffles molded right in, and they worked great.  Unrolled it was about 2ft an was about 10-12 inches wide.

Any help finding this supplier would be appreciated.  I think he lived in Alaska.

Talk about handy, wow!

  • to let you know I donat make one like that but I do manufacter a complete break down unit. that you can run as a clean up sluice, a regular sluice, high banker, and a dredge if you are interested. it can all fit in a 5 gallon bucket and as well can fit into a campers back pack as I do . and why I built it the way I did

  • do you have any pictures of this sluice

  • When I get back to Colorado I will take a close up picture of the unit.    Its still working,  but missing the two plastic cross pieces that held it rigidly in form.    I was hoping to find another one for my grandson.

  • I had some dealings with this guy, he does live in Canada. Bought some of his plans, that didn't work out so good.
