Any New York Clubs

I have seen a few NY videos where there was Gold found to my surprise and joy! Can anyone provide me with any Clubs here? I found one but few members with last post months back.  Appreciate any help and links. I live in the Finger Lakes Region about in the middle. Learning a lot here, love this site and many resources. Looking forward to my first Radio Show tomorrow, alarm is set on my phone!

  • Cortlandville GPAA. Great group. We have 50 members from all over the state. Albany buffalo syracuse and even PA.
Can also find us on "eastern gold seekers" on Facebook
2nd Saturday of the month. Hope to see you there.
  • The Cortlandville GPAA meeting is held on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 10:00 am at the Cortlandville Town Garage which is just off Exit 10 of Interstate 81. The chapter president is Danny Miller (607) 524-8201. The Facebook group "New York State Gold Prospectors" is where you can check if the meeting is called off for weather.
(For some reason, the GPAA website lists it as "Eaton NY - Pine City NY".)

    • Be careful up there in them woods alone! I heard Bears like honey more than gold, but....

  • you might want to try this group on fb they are a great bunch of people and have outings and get togathers  try contacting roy bourne to hunt on fb

    • They do sound interesting. I'll try and "tune in". I have a Facebook account. Thanks.

      • The gold outings are usually in northern New Hampshire. There is a spring get together in Herkimer, NY for quartz crystals.

  • well that stinks, sorry to hear that politicians know how to mess everything up. If there's any way I can help you in the future please let me know.

    • Those rules read very much like the rules in place for the state of South Australia, in Australia! There are only two small areas that are set aside for gold fossicking ... and they both pretty much border residential areas. There is very little gold left in those two areas because they were both heavily prospected back in the early days.

Further, if you were to find gold in ANY area of South Australia, you may NOT sell it. It must be kept for display or specimen purposes ONLY!

Consequently, "no gold is discovered in South Australia" ... we found it interstate and brought it home with us!!!

The bureaucratic madness imposed on us is just "kindergarten" stuff!! So much money leaves my state because of its mindless, public servants/politicians, and the #&*$@ "Greens"

It really is time that we all stood up like the "old timers" did, and had a "new Eureka Stockade"   :-)

      • Thank you for the reply. It doesn't make any sense. Gold here in NY that would be turned into fresh currency but we're not allowed to touch it! oops, correction, we can touch it just can't take it home!
