...and another thing...

If you prospect with me, you'll notice that I always keep my sucker bottle secured (to my person) with a tether. It can't be emphasized too strongly that a snuffer bottle, containing the golden fruits of your labor, will break your heart as it roars away downstream. They can also slowly drift away from you and be long gone before you realize you've lost it. If I'm dredging, my bottle may be safely stored on shore with my gear. Otherwise it's tethered to me. • Thanks KG! Sounds like a stop at Harbor Freight is in order.

  • Harbor Freight has some for $2.00 that have 4 foot retractable steel cable. Very lightweight and durable. I have my plastic trowel/scoop on mine. That way I don't loose it when I am feeding my sluice.

    Hmmm,........
How about puttin' it on a retactable key chain?
When not in use it's tucked away close to your body, and you can easily pull it out to your pan, or what ever.
    Just a thought......

Sounds like a fine idea to me.
