  • Now I gotta go play with my gold:)
  • I don't know if this is stupid or helpful but I have been having trouble getting the other crap other than the gold out of my vial so I use a sniffer bottle to inject clean water into the vial at a rate that makes the lighter stuff flow out and the gold stays in. I do sometimes get too force going and must recover some of the back into the vial.
Maybe you could put you concentrates into a large pickle jar and add water and agitate or shake the jar, dilute the clay/silt then slowly add water essentially cleaning the water and leaving the gold?
    • Welcome to GPS Dingleberry,

To clean up the gold in the vial try this....

Fill your pan with about 3/4" of water

Empty your vial into the pan (watch for gold that floats)

Work everything to the bottom rim of the pan.

Turn that side of the pan away from you

Keep your left hand close to you when holding the pan

Elevate the far end with the cons up about 1/4" of an inch

Tap the far end of the pan on the rim in a downward motion with your right hand

Keep at it until its just right and the gold will separate from everything else

People wonder how the gold in my vials is soo clean.. that's how  ;)

      Poor mans shaker table!!!!

      • Tried it. It took a few times trying but I got it. I can see a lot of practice in my future. I think I'll use a smaller pan next time. I have callouses from my garret super sluice.
        Thanks again.
        • Glad to hear it helped. If you dump the snuffer back into the pan and repeat the process a couple more times you will end up with a vial with 100% gold and no junk in it.

      • Got back and been cleaning up.
Gonna do that as soon as the water cools.
I've heard about the bump before but no one ever explained it.
        Thanks Brother!
  • I like to use a Miller table with a very slow flow of water for mine. You can easily get down to separating 200 mesh gold. Also I have been trying the panning method this gentleman uses with good luck. The first part of the panning is typical but it is the last part you want to take special note of.
