Does anyone out there know exactly what paperwork I need to maintain my claims and send to the recorders office. I recently sent them all the paperwork to have it sent back unstamped asking ME what I wanted recorded and how many pages. I called the blm and they couldn't tell me and I called the co. recorders office and was told that they didn't know and to call a lawyer

Which recordings you need to make at the county depend on your claim status.
Is this a placer claim?
Do you have more than one locator on the claim?
Are you making a new claim?
Are you using the small miner waiver?
Is this your first year?

County Recorders can not give you advice. There are published standards on how to prepare your recordings for each County Recorder. Things like margins, reserved spaces and type sizes matter a lot to County Recorders. In Maricopa County you can find the Recorder's filing requirements HERE.
