Coinstar finds

Yesterday I decided my change bowl from detecting finds was full enough to take to the bank. I didnt clean them as well as I should have but that worked in my favor. I use the coin machine at my bank and they dont charge a fee as long as you have an account with them. As soon as I got there I saw what looked like a penny in the reject tray. I scooped it up and it was this cool cent...

Then I loaded up the coin machine and got started. About $30 into running and the machine stopped and said get attendant for assistance. She said theres magnets on the inside that catches all kinds of crap and thats usually what makes it stop working. So she popped it open and sure enough it was full of junk. She pulled everything off the magnets and there was a coin there that wasnt mine (but is now). She closed up the machine and got me started again and said "have a good day", leaving the coin there for me. I finished running and the machine rejected about 20% of my coins but I ended up with just over $63 which isnt bad for the little time I've put into parks and ball fields.

Heres the cool coin that was stuck to the magnet. Being from Maine I find lots of Canadian coins but never seen this one before. It's not real valuable but worth a few bucks so it goes in the keeper jar :)

When you take your change in keep an eye out for rejects and look them over carefully. And if I didnt feed so many dirty coins in and jam it up I never would have got the quarter. Was a cool find and great day! Treasures hide in many different places :)
