Only had a few hours to get out today and the tide was high so I didn't get to dig. So I drove out to a small town ball field for a little detecting. From the amount of clad coins and pull tabs I got I don't think it's been hunted. I dug this in 2½ hours. Lots of trash but got 1 cool coin and 2 rings.

The Garrett pro pointer makes quick work of shallow targets. I have this tiny spade shovel my daughter got me for my birthday. I like to use it on parks and ball fields. I try to dig a bigger plug here so the lawnmowers dont pick it up and make a bald spot. If it reads 6" or less just make 3 cuts, flip plug out, pro pointer will get it. About 15 seconds...got that down to a science lol. Took me longer to type the last sentence than it does to recover a 4" pull tab lol!
