  • Here's a good place to get your claim markers.

  • Example of a claim marker/discovery monument.

A 4"x4"x4' post painted white. The claim papers are in a 3/4" pvc pipe aprox. 12" long with caps on both ends. Hose claps used to secure the pipe to the post.

  • Yes dennis, claimants need to file ASAP and not wait 'til the last minute.

As soon as you recieve your notice to refile, only active claim holders will recieve that, you need to get it filed with the Feds and county. Don't forget the NOITH, Notice Of Intent To Hold, if you claim the Small Minor's Waiver.

  • Here is a BLM location notice for Calif. http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/info/iac/placerlocation.html You can print it out, fill it out, and post it at your point of discovery.  Ted

  • hay guys remember the new filing dead line on exsisting  claims is Aug 31 not sept 1 as in the past if you miss the dead line  they won't renew your claim  keep this in mind

  • No prob Mike.

There is so much info it's really hard to put it in a few posts.

I think I have a couple of hundred pages in my binder. I think it's a good idea to have that info on hand just in case the "Piss Firs" get nosey and start asking questions. Most of the time they don't even know the answers and I just love educating them. ; )

  • Thanks SteelPan. I wasnt refreshing fast enough so I didnt see your posts.
