It could very well be tungsten. Sheelite is white chrystal that looks a lot like quartz. Wolfimite looks like black sand. If you have access to a black light, sheelite will glow blue, and wolfimite will glow gold.
it might be gold covered with mercury or 1 of the othyer precuse metals that are some what common with gold likie platimun you might take some of it to a refiner and see what they say

Do you think i should heat some up and see what happens? I know mercury gas is deadly. i have a 100 yr old small outside iron stove i could do it on.
