Yes, very similar to vortex. My favorite mat. It would be interesting to see how that works in a sluice. The holes look bigger than Vortex so it might hold the fine gold and let the larger rocks roll right on down.
We are about to replace the feed conveyor on a big machine sander and it has that exact same pattern. I may bring it home and see how it works. I have a piece 13 feet long and 37 inches wide I brought home last time we changed it a few years back. Nearly identical to vortex but not quite the same. It worked good but I bought a piece of vortex anyways.
