It looks like gold to me, but it would help if you can get a closer picture of the piece, try and use a magnifying glass along with your camera to get a real close shot of the piece!!!
The fact that it's there with the other heavies at the end of your panning say a lot for it to possibly be gold!!!
Don't let your friend tell you there is no gold in Michigan, it's there, maybe not the motherload, but there is gold in Michigan none the less!!
That is way to cool. I hope it is gold. You say it is tiny but I think for your first flakes that is pretty darn good. Need to put them in a vial and save it. You did GREAT! Way to go Dusty!!!

It looks Like its laying heavy in the black sand Dustin and thats what gold does but Kens Right hard to tell from a picture ! good Job !!!
I really hope so Ken and if not it was fun anyway. But I sure would like to know for sure. It was worth freezing my butt . I'm pretty excited.
