Can't make the month long trip. Gonna be East of Quincy around the first of April. Gonna be at my daughter's place, over on the coast end of this week, and hope to be back in time for the meeting on the 24th.
Ok, we had a good time, even though we could'nt find any gold. I'm looking forward to getting the dredge going. We are going to find the big nuggets. Remember the two hundred pound nugget is mine. Ok you can have a chip off it , if you hepl me get it out of the water and onto my truck. Mike
yes it is, it's out of Downeyville, about 40 miles North of Auburn,Ca. Looking forward to dredge season this year as I'm starting in a hole that has a flume post in it from when they flumed the creek to mine it (1850's) and i am hoping they didn't clean out the hole before they put it up. My brother(deceased) had found ounce nuggets in some post holes further upstream and not to far upstream from where I will start is another post. Its amazing that these poles can last that long under water, they are broken off about 2 feet under the cobbels but still go down six feet or so....bob
