  • Anyone try the pyramid gold pan??  I have one and I like it for processing a lot  of material fast.

  • I have a Trinity pan and i like it, I like how Spike worded it saying it was a "production pan" that about nails it. If you are in a creek and you want to run alot of dirt it works great cause you can pan it down enough for the gold to drop into the lower beveled area then load it up again and keep going without having to stop and pull out all the little pickers and you can just keep going and going.

    • When it is pans only it shines for most prospectors, I have several different ones, in different colors, I love mine!  Just use it for what is designed for, it is not a clean up pan, would work you to death.

  • I havn't tried the Trinity pan but I have been using a Gold Grabber like the Trinity it has deep sides so you can keep adding material with out losing any gold I find this kind of pan great for sampling new areas with out setting up sluives and such !

  • I was tossed between the trinity and the blue ones from Keene, i went ith the keene ones that have 2 different size riffles and they are under $10 a piece, and come in many different sizes.

  • Hi Bill I have two of them and I like the garit pan and the gpaa pan I thought that the trinity pan was hard to work and the gold can get cought in it. If I can do it a over I would get one and try it to see if you like it.

  • I have a few, along with about every other pan I have tried.

The Trinity is a production pan, you can run dirt down to a small amount, then dump more material in, and keep concentrating. I don't like them for cleanup, but they will run alot of dirt. Not that great for testing either, hard to see what you have, in all those riffles.  I use a 12 inch pan for sampling, and another 12 inch pan with 1/4 inch holes to classify for that test. I have a bunch of the bigger GPAA pans, they work great, but the 12 inch is just better for me.

  • Bill,

I've owned a couple of Trinity pans, but have since given them away to fellow pan collectors. I don't believe that, for the average panner, any improvements are to be gained by using a Trinity pan.  I do believe that panning is best improved by much practice with a basic riffled pan. In other words, don't blame the technology until it is mastered.

    Heavy Pans...

  • I just like to use simple gold pans. I do have 2 trinity pans, an ogtagon pan and would like to try the turbo pan.
