  • I believe in helping out others because you never know when you might need help
  • Well it sounds Like FUN anyway Lots of Sun and good Camping, Stars in the night Sky and Some Good Gold yet to be Found from What I Hear about the Lost DuchMan , that is good of you to put your self out like that George Hope you find your Fair share of the Gold.

  • Camping fees at stanton are 8 dollars a day the fee for ldma members is 40 dollars a month and that includes maintenance fees and this is paid until you are paid in full which you are correct is 3000 dollars than you are paid in full. Some od the more isolated claims are free because you are on your own no hook ups etc that depends on were you go all ldma places are fancier as you might say due to the higher cost of membership you get what you pay for. Yes weaver has alot of claims around the area of stanton and congress they charge 20 dollars for 3 days per person or 50 dollars for the year but there are no real places to hook up an rv and no facilities like portable pottys just rock and dirt
    • Dan Ware of Apache Junction's Promack Treasure Hunters tells me he has 2 claims in Stanton along with others. He said one is on *The Hill*. They offer Superstition Mountain Treasure Hunters memberships with a reasonable annual membership fee. No, I have no affiliation with them or any other clubs. I'm just stating facts for anyone wanting to prospect the area. My unbias attempt is strictly to forward the advancement of new prospectors. When I started 5 years ago after retiring, the reports were more vague and prospecting was not as newbie friendly as the internet has made it today. The more info out there for beginners can only help promote prospecting and the rights they carry with any form of Government.

  • Looks like LDMA cost is $3000 right now if you pay in full with discounts attached, as per their website. They also have a monthly dues or annual maintenance dues fee. They do charge for camping. How much are these fees....I couldn't find it on their own web site, just sign here, then read the fine print carefully. Just search LDMA for details, or.... no details. I think the reasoning was that if a member took a guest to a GPAA claim to pan, they may later join the club. I like this option, exposing more people/prospectors/potential members to the hobby is a good thing. I'm unsure if LDMA has the same policy.....  It might be hard for a person to decide on this larger expense without trying it as a guest. I hope they allow this, for their own sake. Weaver Prospecting is another local club with several claims around Stanton and is reasonably priced. I think they allow guests and are very personal.(no affiliation) Then there is the open BLM ground(yes, I've found color there). A trip to the court house or internet search on LR2000-BLM can aid in discovery of areas to prospect.  Good-Luck on getting out and finding color! ...................Brian.

  • LDMA that is a Club? Lost Duchmans ? so we would need to be a Clubmember ? Will the Camp Grounds be Open for Camping, and if so how much is it? thanks Dennis

    • Its 8 dollars a day for full hookups and tents are even less
