Once i get my truck to pass smog. Lol. Im heading to i-bar rd im about an hour from sonora so im hoping to go as often as i can afford the gas. I got a guzzler. Its a 90 f250 4x4 with the 7.5L460 ci. So its not too easy on the wallet but runs good. So im hoping the the gpaa claims around there are good does anyone have any info or advise that could help make my trips successfull im not asking for your spots and ill respect your diggings. Maybe some ideas of what to look for type of deposits. Ive done real well at a place called knights ferry and i know what to look for there but when i go to moccasin creek the material is different and bedrock is different so its like im shooting in the dark and havent had much success. Ive onlymbeen prospecting for a little over a year , mostly at knights ferry. I soak up info like a sponge and read everything i can get my hands on 3or 4 times just to make sure i didnt miss anything. So the basics i know pretty good. One thing i have learned is that every area is different and going somewhere for the first time and thinking i can look for the same things from another area would be a mistake. For example in knights ferry the river is regulated by 2 dams and it has been worked heavily in the past by chineese and the early 49ers but since then hardly nobody has done anything since. So over the years gold has been redeposited at a slower rate than an un damed river but it does accumulate in the river since and when we get too much water coming from the hills and the lakes are full they release a ton of water or as in 97 it will flood and push nice deposits of gold on to the banks along with cobbles sand clay its a fairly steep and deep river canyon and if you know what to look for you can be pretty successful but when i go to a new place i feel like a fish out of water with no clue how to get back. I dont personally know anyone who prospects and everything i have learned i researched myself or through trial and error. So if anyone is willing to share some info it would be more than apriciated. And if i can help anyone in any way i would be more than happy to do so. Thanks everyone and good gold to you all.

I got family in jamestown so storing it wouldnt be a problem $4+ a gal and 12mpg is the prob. But its 12mpg with a full load too so thats the upside the reason i got it was it was cheap new engine and tranny and i neede something that would pull my boat in the mountains and for hauling. Its a bit of overkill but at 1800$ i couldnt pass it up ive had it six yrs and it still runs great so i got my moneys worth a ton of good trips and great memories and very few problems. Now if i could just find a spot that had enough color to cover the fuel cost life would be perfect

If you truck is a gas guzzler you could park it at a self storage that is nere where you will prospect just a thought. Good luck with your Diggin
