  • Gary, sorry to hear about your eBay transaction not working out. When you shared that your emails weren't answered pretty much sums it up! As a seller since 1998 on eBay I can tell you reputation means everything! I never buy any expensive items from sellers with low feedback. If I really want the item and the feedback is say 10-30, I then check to see where the feedback came from, buyer or seller! An eBayer can have 30 "Positive" feedbacks that they earned as a buyer who's buying 5.00 items to build up their feedback in an attempt to make themselves look active with a good "positive" rating. The reason? To then try and sell some higher end items to unsuspecting buyers. One of many tricks.

Okay, let's go with a good point made above. Why not buy from sellers here? A lot of people know a lot of people here where you feel there is a sense of responsibility. It contributes to the site one way or another and you can be sure that if a member here sends you a bag of sand without answering your messages the monitors can see that and get involved.

Now, we all should thank you for sharing so we don't make the mistake from the same seller!  Hope to hear of a happy buy soon! Sincerely, Tim

Missed this was not an eBay seller! Hope the information is still helpful to those who use eBay.  Looking forward to learning more about your purchase from the website. Still suggest to try some sellers here!

  • I really don't understand why people do that.  As a vendor, you will never get repeat customers or recommendations if you don't provide customers with what they want.  If you are going to sell paydirt, concentrates, or other material for people to work and find gold, it HAS to be from proven gold bearing ground.  Why do some vendors sell useless dirt with nothing in it.  I have pride in what I sell, no matter what it is.  My work ethics demand that customers are more than satisfied with what the get.

Believe me, word of mouth gets around very quickly when a bad transaction takes place.  I have been hearing about many disgruntled customers lately that have been experiencing poor customer service or bad products.  Just sell an honest product with honest service...is that too much to ask?!!!

  • Whats the old adage, you get what you pay for...   We have many paydirt sellers on this site.  Try Dirthogg, Ipan4gold, Gold Hog, GoldRush, Dayton Prospecting,  Carolina Prospectors,  GPS Store, and many more.

  • Rip off meaning no gold in the dirt or you didn't get your order?  I've had two bad experiences from eBay sellers. Probably won't go that route again.  There are too many quality dirt providers right here on this website!  Sorry to hear that you had a problem...I guess we've all been there.  :(

    •  There was no gold and they would not answer emails.
