Here is a technical drawing I did based on Ken (Bigfoot MTN Man) design.

Here is what I built based on that design.

Since then I removed the standoffs on the top of the riffles that the flat expanded metal sat on top of. It was a good idea and worked but removed them in order to tweak my design further. Was unsure if the flat expanded was affecting the water flow at all so figured it was best to keep the design traditional for now.

In the second revision I added a 6 inch section of heavy duty #7 raised expanded in the top section and flattened down the top of them for more of a "Hungarian" profile. It seemed to work really well for the Ohio outing.
