But i have it back now.
I'm very interested on detecting. So far i haven't hit the jackpot but since buying my detector i have been trying to get to understand exactly how it work and what it can do.

Sorry i haven't got back to you sooner but have been dealing with a house full of sick kids. The new minelab 305 arrived the other day so now i can get out to do some hunting (finally lol).

Andy im interested in the hunt. Gold that is. Just bought a metal detector. Live on the northside inner city. You? The way i see it to get to the gold you have to travel some distance from Brisbane. That can be a little expensive by yourself. And lonely to. I'm 48 with married with 3 kids and im looking for a new interest.
I like fresh air open spaces and they way i see it this metal detecting will keep me fit.

Good to hear from you and keen for a hunt. I live in Bray Park and yes it is a few hours to the goldfields.Either Warwick to the south or Gympie to the north and also Claremont area which is on the cards later in the year . I have a 4wd so getting into difficult areas isn't a problem.
Unfortunately it will be a few weeks before i can even look at getting out as work is a nightmare at the moment and am in the process of updating to a new Minelab so I will let you know when i will be able to head out again.
I look forward to catching up with you and chasing to yellow stuff soon
