I have a question, maybe someone can answer. I recently downloaded the minecache free trial, and there are a few areas close to me that are labeled "prospects" i have heard the term used before but im not 100% clear on what its meaning is. Thanks guys

Didnt know the war shut down mining! Thats even better news maybe my chances of working an untouched ancient river bed just went up up up! Only time will tell but it sounds like i have some new adventures on the horizon. I know that the oldtimers workred the placers way above the current flow of the river all the tailings and scars from hydrolicing are outside and above the canyon. Now i got to locate access points to some of these areas
During the first World War Mining was Closed down and a lot of miners never made it back to the mine as Industry pickedup and the price of gold at $35 oz, never could compet with a pay check untell now and the olltimers are retirerd
Thanks, A.P.C. Thats what i kind of thought. Right now im marking all the historic and old claims in the area as there isnt any gold mining active in my general area anymore. What i believe happened is, there was a huge flood in the late 1800s- early1900s that completely washed the small town off the map. I think the minning stopped while the town was rebuilt and never significantly returned. Some did but not even close to the amount before the flood. It may have washed some dreams of working these prospects away as well.
Thanks
