Good evening GPS members,
I'm looking for some advice on my 2 1/2" dredge build. I would like to know the pitch or angle of the sluice I should use. I've researched a lot on this but would like to know what is working best for those in the field. My sluice will be 12" width, currently 60" length and will be using hog matting.
Your advice will be appreciated!
Happy prospecting

My suggestion would be to initially set the angle to about 1" fall for every 12 inches of length then after running clean out behind each riffle and pan separately to see how far down your heavies, especially gold and lead are travelling
