  • Yep birdshot.  Garnets can come any color of the rainbow. black and red is the usual here but I have gotten blue green yellow and all of the fire end of the rainbow, as well as the purples. The top left looks something like the silver ore here. Lower left looks like a rifle round thats mushroomed and shed its copper jacket. Looks that way to me. Knife blade will tell lead by the feel of the cut.

  • GOT ANY PICTURES OD THEM CLOSE UP AND CLEAR?

    • Posted pictures of them and a couple other things I'm not sure of. Possible silver and garnets. The metal balls are corroded but if scraped with a knife show a bright metallic color. Just hard to get on a picture.

  • Most likely different sizes of birdshot. I get a lot of that here too. Lots of waterfowl hunting upriver years ago. People live there now but the lead is still around. You might also be finding lead free birdshot. It comes in different mixtures.

    • That's what I thought they might be, but wasn't sure due to some of them having a soccer ball shape to them. Thanks Mike!
