Found this Artical on the ICMJ Site it about a miner working on forest land and going ot court and WINING his Case http://www.icmj.com/userfiles/files/USA%20v_%20Tierney_ORDER.pdf ,,, http://www.icmj.com/news-detail.php?id=183&keywords=Big_win_for...
Thanks Spur, I have seen that. About time we won one............
I received an email from Chief of Staff, Dylan Grey, for Senator Alan Olsen's office today, so I know that they are at least reading our letters and emails. It sounds like someone with a BIG axe to grind is really wanting this LC 2125 to be pushed into law! We, as miners need to stand together and stop this bill from passing......if we don't, kiss mining bye bye.....all across the country.
Hi Richard,
Thank you for your e-mail. Senator Olsen will see this bill when it comes to the Senate Environment Committee. He will do what he can to impede the passage of unnecessary DEQ regulations. The Chair of the committee unfortunately has all the power so the bill will likely pass committee and perhaps meet a similar fate as SB 765 when it is considered for a vote of the Senate.

thanks for the heads up......i have a dredging permit for 2 more years in oregon.....and was planing on prospecting for this comming season of dredging....so guess i better keep watching this new development....
I have never mined in Oregon, my claim is in North Calif. However ALL miners are in this together. I plan to call on Monday and send e-mails. I encourage everyone to do the same. Don't rely on someone else. If California and Oregon fall, your state will be next.
It would be interesting to know who drafted the LC and who signed to sponsor it. It is so late this year that nothing will likely happen this year. But next year it may come to the floor for a vote. I hope the voters in Oregon do something to stop this attempt to undercut the mining community.

It will never be up to the Voters to stop anything. In California the bills to kill dredging were passed in a small committee on Natural Resources. (Democratically controlled) They were then passed by the Senate and Assembly(Democratically controlled) Most citizens are in the dark and brainwashed by the news media and BIG Environmental backed money. They say ...............
(This is a big campaign, and we all need to work together on this issue to succeed. Cascadia Wildlands is currently working with a diversity of river stakeholders on this issue, including Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center, Oregon Wild, Western Environmental Law Center, Mt. Rose Herbs, Caddis Fly and many more. Please join the effort by signing the petition to protect our wild salmon heritage.)
Cascadia Wildlands is one organization tied to George Soros and Earthjustice.
Go here and read the list. Cascadia Wildlands in Oregon is there.

This is not just a mining issue......It is the down fall of America and loss of personal freedoms.
Please take the time to read what is starting to happen in Oregon as far as mining goes and help us fight the Legislative BS that is trying to get passed. It happened in California because most of the miners there didn't think it could ever happen......well it did. So now Dredging has been essentially outlawed until the Environmental Impact Study was completed and the result was.. still NO dredging. Many folks on quite a few of the forums said that this would happen in Oregon too and it looks like it is trying to get a foot-hold. If Oregon ends up in the same predicament as Cali did with dredging being banned, then the whole country will suffer the same fate in short order. Write letters, send emails, call senators and tell them that you think LC 2125 is not a good "concept" for Oregon and Oregon miners. Many of us did this same thing for California, but it was too little, too late....the damage was already done. It's time for the Miners of the United States to stand up for our rights! OK...I'm done now...........
