A month ago my wife got me the Garrett Gold Panning Kit for my birthday. I dug at a creek by my house a couple times but came up with nothing. I spent a week on the computer researching my area and found some creeks that were known for gold so I picked one and headed out...short story shorter I came up with two small pieces of flour gold. Not a bust but I didn't really feel I could call it my first find and be happy! So I have been doing a lot of research on how to read a stream and what to look for and I headed back out Monday to a different creek. When I got there I really liked what I saw! Looking around I found a big rock with a crevice running through it packed with mud, clay and a bunch of weed growing out of it! So I dug a couple scoops out and panned it and just about fell in the creek when I saw about 15 colors in it(Flour size and really small but still...GOLD!) So I spent a couple hours cleaning out the crevice and concentrating it down and ended up with about 3" of cons in the bottom of my 5 gallon bucket to take home and pan out in my garage! It took me a few days of panning in my spare time but this is what I got! Thanks for looking!
