Ok, I have a Tesoro Lobo (old one) I purchased about 15 years ago. It has manual ground balancing which I hated. To be fair, I probably never really learned how to manually ground balance the machine. I see now some newer machines have the automatic ground balancing. The Fisher Gold Bug Pro and the Tesoro Lobo Supertraq. Which is a better machine for gold and gold nuggets? A machine with automatic or manual ground balancing? Thank you in advance.

Yup....learn your machine. It sucks and can be frustrating but once you get the hang of what its tellin you....great finds will come! I look forward to the pics of yellow metal :)

Manual ground balancing IMO. The ability to fine tune to the ground will maximize depth. Auto ground balance will set the machine to a factory preset that may not eliminate chatter and interference completely, thus resulting in you either turning up discrimination or lowering sensitivity which will cost you depth. I would go with the GBP as its manual ground balance. Hope that helps :)
