Got permission to detect 4 houses in Dwight's Mill Village in Gadsden, AL. Old Cotton Mill Village. Spent 5 hours and only made it through one backyard. Gonna post my finds! Found tons of old rusted metal, one spoon, a drawer pull, clad (for some reason, NO old coins???) and my biggest find...a gold coin Mexican Bracelet. All of the coins say Estados Unidos Mexicana and each coin has a different date on it. The oldest one is from 1952. When I first uncovered it, I thought I had found a cache of gold coins....about peed my pants!!!! Check out my pics and someone tell me about the military brass coat button if you have info. I can't seem to find it online. I had a GREAT day!!!! :)

Just posted two more pics from the items I dug from another house in Dwight's Mill Village. Found my first glass marble! And another Merc in perfect condition. One wheatie. And a lot of deep, rusty 'stuff'. It was freezing but I just kept swinging and digging. I love it!!
