Lone Pine,Ca /eastern sierras

       Would like to know if anyone has ever adventured around any old gold mines in the mountains west of

Lone Pine, Ca.  Some old mines in the area.

We are thinking of trying some old tailings piles.!!

We were there in October of last year, got froze out.

Did not find any places to explore or prospect.

 Husband and i may go back over there in a couple of weeks.!!

    hello just type in the name of the claim in the locality name  and this site will tell you everthing ever written on it

    there are online resorces for most of the division of mines and mining publactions if you need more help let me know I have most of the publaction in my libery   Bill

      And make sure your not tresspassing or prospecting on an active claim.

    If you can find the names of some old mines in the area, google MRDS  or something like that and type in the name if the mine and it will give you some info on it.http://tin.er.usgs.gov/mrds/
