I've looked and I'm sure it's there someplace but I cannot find the information.

I'd like to add a picture Of my off to the left of my posts so folks can recognize me.

go to the top right corner of the page, click on settings. At the top of the settings page is a place for a photo and an edit button next to it. Add your photo there.
