Spur, Thanks. Yes it is a 12v dc wiper motor from an old Ford Ranger pick up truck. I use Gold Hog matting and it works great. The sluice is 5' long and the first 36" is Gold Hog scrubber, the remaining 24" is expanded over moss. I also have ribbed matting under all of that. Hope this helps.
Thanks Tim. It catches the gold really well and you can wash the material as long as you want to leave it in the bucket. I use a green plastic scoop to rake the oversize out every couple of shovels full, after it has washed for a bit.

that is a great build how well does it catch the gold and clean the material?
