    nice was there more or just that one piece can't tell you what it is but it's got some nice colors like to see it cut in slab bet it will have some beautiful colors inside take it to a rockshop they can tell you let us know if you find out i''d like to know anyway nice find

    i am no expert on az gems, but my guess would be a variety of chalcedony. like sardonyx perhaps.if you google search chalcedony, you should find some picture galleries of the many variations.they are all quartz related, as i recall. nice find.
