Hello all!
I'm the web admin for East Bay Prospectors (SF Bay Area) and am working on building a new club website. Our current site has its limits and isn't very active. Bradley, one of our active members suggested I visit your site. We (EBP) hold monthly meetings, monthly outings and do public outreach like panning demos at schools etc. Anything to keep miners in a positive light. Our new site will be using the VBulletin type forums and we'll have a few other things going on. It will be online mid-summer I hope. Stay tuned and I'll check-in here as often as I can (I'm a busy boy) to grasp the concept of the nationwide membership here. I'm used to just our locals on our site which makes it a little boring. I need ideas for our forum layout and see we could use a national level forum, say for people who are traveling and want to hook up with local prospectors.
More about our club.... We have about 5 claims and are looking for more all the time. We're starting to run into the locked forest gates etc. and whether or not you want to get involved in politics, looks like we're going to have to fight for our rights for public access to our public forests and lands. Crazy times we live in.
Thanks for all the welcome messages and I'll try to touch base here as often as possible!
Your left coast friend,
Dale

Have you contacted PLP about the locked gates?
