I am looking for some gold prospectors who have panned for gold in the Black River area.
I took a page out of the latest GPAA magazine. The map of Mi. showed Onaway Mi. with the possibilty of gold deposit. I have talked to a few people on line who have actually found gold in the river (flakes) . Can you Help??

Go to mich chapter of gpaa and check out laws in mich. alsoYahoo grups ,mpa group might have letters wrong mich.GPAA site has ling to it ask there might get help there
Thanks Chuck, I have tried both routes and received a little help. I guess I will just pick a spot and start panning on the river. Who knows what i will find.

You might want to check out the "Desk top Prospector" from Arizona Gold Prospectors. I put a post about it and hopefully people are picking up on it. If you can let me know the county you want to hunt in and I'll run it through the desk to prospector program and get back to you with what I find.

Thanks for the In put Mark, I am in northern Mi., Presque Isle county a little town called Onaway. I am retired and need a self rewarding hobby. As you know you can only play so much golf, fish and hunt.I will check out the Desk to Prospector today.

WARNING THIS PROGRAM WILL NOT RUN ON A WINDOWS VISTA SYSTEM! I have been trying for the last hour to get the Desk Top Prospector to run on this D____ Vista Operating System and it will not run correctly.
I'll try to run it on my laptop.
